hallo-what

Meg and I dressed up for Halloween, she as a sexy Sarah Palin and me as a runner. We joined T and S, our good friends from Pullman who now live in the city, and attended a stage performance of Bram Stoker's Dracula. All around, a good show, mildly creepy, also funny. When we first entered the theater, at around 7:30, there was a young girl dressed in black who was playing a woodsaw with a violin bow. It produced an eerie, high-pitched wailing sound. The girl saw Meg, recognized her as Sarah Palin, and immediately went into a rendtion of the Star Spangled Banner.
Anyways, after the show, we went back to our place for drinks and popcorn balls, then to our favorite brewery. Throughout the night, Meg received a lot of looks, whistles, laughs, and "heckuva costume, Sarah" remarks from people.

One (strange) woman we encountered complemented Meg on her costume; then she switched gears and said, as if talking to the real Sarah Palin, "Really, let's hope you win the election. We don't want a communist as president." With so many things wrong in a statement like that, all's we could do was laugh.

In closing, if Meg could wear these boots everyday, she would. Too bad Halloween's only once a year.
